some advice needed

...So im going to Bénin (west Africa) in less than 3 weeks...im going to teach there for 2 months and a half. Im so nervous and excited,...im also kind of scared.
So i was thinking about what to bring over there. I thought about not bringing my i-pod so it doesnt get stolen. Also, it will be hard to recharge it over there. But if i dont, i think i will die. No western music for 2 months? Worse: no TFF for 2 months??? ugh
So yeah, im wondering what i should do...
